DGPDarren Gibson Planning is a specialist town planning and development consultancy established in 2006. DGP specialises in all areas of town planning, including town planning advice and feasibility, strategic studies, land use structure planning, development applications, subdivision applications, environmental impact assessment and expert witness services in the NSW Land & Environment Court. DGP also maintains close links with experienced specialists in allied professional disciplines such as engineering, architecture and environmental sciences and through this network of industry professionals, it is able to offer a comprehensive development advisory and consultancy service. DGPs clients include a wide range of government and private sector interests, from local council’s and large development companies, through to small business and individual land owners. Based in Murwillumbah, DGPs core business involves the provision of professional town planning services to private sector clients seeking to undertake development within the Tweed Shire. However, it is currently undertaking and has successfully completed consultancies in other locations throughout NSW and South East Queensland. DGP is committed to quality service and the highest professional standards. DGP Principal Darren Gibson is a Certified Practicing Planner and is a Corporate Member of the Planning Institute of Australia. He has worked as a professional town planner in both the public and private sectors for almost twenty years, including the past sixteen years in the Tweed Shire local government area. He spent nine years as a town planner with the Tweed Shire Council before entering private practice in January 2000. Recently completed projects include development applications for high-rise residential development in Tweed Heads and a large Seniors Housing development at Warners Bay in the Lake Macquarie local government area. DGP is also involved in the on-going planning of the extensive urban release area at West Kingscliff. DGP can be found upstairs in the recently refurbished ‘Austral Building’ opposite the Murwillumbah Services Club, in Commercial Road, Murwillumbah.
