Local Environmental Plans

The preparation of Local Environmental Plans is principally the domain of local Council's, although this function is sometimes undertaken by consultants on behalf of a local authority.

During their time in local government, both Darren Gibson and Kellie Shapland have prepared a number of local environmental plan amendments.

In private practice, Darren and Kellie were responsible for the preparation of an environmental study and local environmental plan on behalf of the Tweed Shire Council, in relation to the Cobaki Lakes project.

More typically, DGP is involved in the preparation of submissions to Council's and government seeking changes to local environmental plans or 'rezoning' on behalf of land owners and developers.

Most recently, DGP has completed a rezoning submission to Tweed Shire Council seeking an alteration to the zoning of land at Terranora.
